Caring For Others

Friends Who Care

The group is open to all men and women who enjoy a diversified group of active people interested in raising funds for charity in Osceola County and where ever needed. The club meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM in "B" Hall. Meetings include various programs, including Bingo, Bunco, and Movie night. Refreshments are served. Call Jean-Marc Dessert at 321 697-0191 or Irene Lamano at 407 847-0049.

Home Community Educators

Our main function is education. We take lessons offered by Florida University and re-teach them to anyone interested. We keep ourselves up to date by having one lesson at each meeting. Recent topics covered are: Interaction of Medicines, How to Prevent Falls, How to Organize Clutter, Reverse Mortgages, and The History of Osceola County.

You will see us at the County Fair. One year our theme was the hidden salt and sugar in food. Another year we had a great time showing kids how to make butter from milk.

We collect pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House, box tops and soup labels for schools, and batteries for recycling.

All adults are welcome to join, and assist in this worthy work. Dues are $5.00 per year. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month, September to April, at noon in the Annex.

To arrange a speaker, ask questions or join, call Ethel Croll at 407 892-2028.
